Photos: Over 1000 delegates vote for NDC’s parliamentary candidate for March 3 Ayawaso East by-election

About 1,047 delegates are voting in a parliamentary primary to elect a candidate who will represent the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the by-election slated for March 3.

The by-election became necessary due to the death of the incumbent Member of Parliament, Mahama Nasser Toure.

The candidates vying for the NDC slot are; Mohammed Ramme, the NDC Constituency Chairman; Amina Adam, widow of the late Member of Parliament; Baba Jamal Mohammed Ahmed, Ghana’s High Commissioner to Nigeria; Yakubu Azindow; and Najib Mohammed.

The winner will slug it out with candidates from the New Patriotic Party and others on March 3.

One delegate is alleged to have gone to another camp to share in goodies being handed to delegates but she was exposed
