Newly acquired Washington Wizards center Anthony Davis will miss the rest of the NBA 2025-2026 season to a mix of injuries.
Davis has been ruled out for the rest of the season to a hand injury and a groin injury with the news coming on the back of Davis’ trade from the Dallas Mavericks to the Wizards.
Former LA Lakers player Davis was the highlight of the eight player trade between the Mavericks and Wizards that had the likes of Khris Middleton, Tyus Jones and Marvin Bagley move from Washington to Dallas with D’Angelo Russell and Dante Exum moving from Dallas to Washington.
Having battled injuries throughout his NBA career, Davis played just 20 games this season before getting shut down.
Prior to the injury, Davis averaged 20.4 points and 11.1 rebounds; beyond this season, Davis has two more years left on his contract that pays him an annual salary of $58.4 million.
